Fashion Design Work

Freedom
Creative Cut and Colour project - Coral
The project was inspired by Freedom since a lot of people feel trapped and need a way to escape in today's society. The project required that I create a garment that incorporated creative pattern cutting, which we learned during this project or elements of the trouser or a combination of both. The project required a colour which was given at random, in my case was Coral.Ā Creative cut and colourĀ project was completed in the end of myĀ first year ofĀ Ā Fashion Design BA course

Textile Project
Textile project happen in the end of the second year. Exploring new areas that fashion can include, laser cut and sublimation print. Consumerism is a big thing that is happening to the world. The pink tax is the idea that companies charge women more for personal care products simply because they will pay more! Women will pay more for having period despite that menstrual cycles is a monthly reality the government took the opportunity and charge women for pads and tampons.
NO NEED FOR A PRINCE Collection
Final Major Project
No Need For A Prince Collection is a Women power inspire collection. Women donāt need a āprinceā to help and save them. Women can defend themselves on their own and the society criticise that. Women need to step up for themselves and have more faith, power and speak their mind out without thinking what the rest of the world thinks of them. My project is based on women, the way they act and think and how the womanās mind, body and self-will is represented in the world. How in some countries women are treated differently and they are still treated as minorities with no human rights. Examples: lower pay rates, slavery, less opportunities etc. Hand-painted unique outfits where prints are added in an interesting way. Hoodies that are meant to be worn as going out clothing as well. Clothing in sheer fabrics that are meant to be sexy not inappropriate.
